Moreover, the inclusion of satellite image overlays enriches the maps with intricate details and realism (double-tap 2 or 4 when Online Map is activated), offering insights that are typically unseen from ground level. Initiate location tracking by tapping the GPS center button to generate track files as you move. These tracks offer video-like controls for playback customization — adjust playback speed, pause, restart, or fast-forward to endpoints. Concurrently display existing tracks while recording new ones to retrace your path if desired. Online functionality enables automatic routing from your current GPS location to any chosen point on the map. Tracks can be imported or exported in GPX format.

Unprecedented customization options are available within Scenic Map. Tailor settings like road visibility, lighting angles, or remove terrain shading entirely. Overlay contour lines over satellite imagery or select from five preset map styles swiftly. Choose between Metric, English, or Nautical units for measurements and from four distinct coordinate display formats including UTM.

If you seek more information about a map feature, simply tap the target icon to reveal its name, type, urban designation, county details, state information, elevation data, and coordinates. A bearing line reflects either your GPS position relative to the feature or vice versa. The status bar shows relevant metrics such as bearing direction and distance along with elevation insights from both the map and GPS readings plus track length and current speed and heading.
